When we were at my in-laws this past Sunday, the kids were enjoying a few marshmallows with Grandma. The marshmallows reminded me of an activity I saw on another mom's blog recently (sorry, I can't remember whose), where they used mini marshmallows and toothpicks to build with. So, Rich picked up some mini marshmallows when he grabbed the groceries Monday and the kids had fun Tuesday with the marshmallows and 'sticks' as Morgan calls them :-)
Morgan went right to town putting her 'sticks' end to end and connecting them with the marshmallows. I had tried to show her how to build more, but she was content with the 'line' she was making.Blake, on the other hand, went straight to chowing down on the yummy marshmallows!

Only when his mouth was stuffed did he try to stick a toothpick into a marshmallow. When it was just about in, he'd change his mind and put the marshmallow in his mouth instead. :-)
It made for a great afternoon activity/snack. Morgan even told me how much fun she had and that she wants to do it again. I think she liked eating her marshmallows when she was all done playing with them :-)
That's a great activity. My ion made a marshmallow statue in school last year and didn't bring it home until a week later and then got mad because I didn't let him eat the yucky marshmallows. I had to buy some more for him to eat.
