This is the kit I picked up at Target for $2. I thought it would be simple for a 2 and 3 year old to use. Plus they LOVE stickers!
Morgan getting started.
Blake going to town on his.
Quite proud of his finished egg!
Rich's egg.
My 1st attempt at an egg.
Morgan's 1st egg.
My 2nd egg.
Another egg...either Morgan's or Blake's.
The kids had a lot of fun! They weren't letting the stickers falling off get them down and they kept right on working. Rich and I decided that the old fashioned egg dying will probably work best in the future. And after talking to a friend, I found out that there are egg timers that will help me make a perfect hard-boiled egg....so we can actually eat them afterwards! :-)
I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to my Mom today! I definitely don't envy her for having an April Fools birthday! ;-)
Happy Birthday Mom ;), yup April Fools not cool. I've been waiting fr Rick to jump out and say it was a joke he has a job ... lol
ReplyDeleteOMGosh you're second egg is my favorite!!
What a fun kit :)
And I totally forgot to mention that I'm attempting dyed egss this year with the boys and I'm a little nervous that I'll end up with dyed children instead of eggs LOL
ReplyDeleteOkay, I can't cook at all (this you know LOL), but for some reason I can manage to cook hard-boiled eggs that are edible.
ReplyDeletePop the eggs in a pan of water and set it on a burner on....med-high. When the water starts boiling set the timer for 10 minutes. (the eggs should be in the pan the whole time). After the timer goes off I set the eggs in a bowl of cold water until they don't warm your hand when you hold them.
Good luck with the peeling. That's still hit or miss for me LOL
The eggs look so cute. I bet they had a lot of fun. I think Rich's looks just like him. Happy Easter. Hope the Easter Bunny leaves lots of candy.
ReplyDeleteAunt Nancy
They turned out cute. I always use to do the swirling colored ones with like an oil you dropped in the water. It's funny when I was growing up we would leave the eggs out and still eat them days later.
ReplyDeleteNot anymore! Hoppy Easter.
SO cute! Love the faces!
