With there only being 4 of us, I didn't want to go all out making snacky foods, so we had pizza, meatballs, chips with dips, popcorn and Peanut Butter (and chocolate) Blondies. It doesn't look like much, but it was more than enough! :-)
I was surprised at how well the kids sat and watched the game. They only had to look away from the commercials twice...the commercials weren'y really the best for the kiddos to see.
Blake really got into the laid-back feel of watching a football game...this typically wouldn't be allowed, but I thought it was kinda funny at the time :-)
They actually were able to watch for a whole hour before they went to bed...plus I think they had their fill of football and were getting bored....they were actually asking to go to bed ;-)
I really enjoyed the laid-back little Super Bowl Party we had. Morgan thought it was fun too and was excited to tell her friends about it in school the next day. I think we're all looking forward to making this a little Super Bowl tradition while the kids are young. :-)
Cute photos. Your treats look yummy. We had a nice time with our children too!
ReplyDeleteThat's fun! We attempted (my family and my mom/siblings) to go to our church's party, but there were too many people and it was so loud! None of us do well with crowds so we gave up at halftime and went home. Where the men congregated in our apartment to watch the game and all of the women went into my mom's house to watch chick flicks - MUCH BETTER SOLUTION LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun party the food looks GREAT! The kids sure look like the enjoyed that part, and I'm with them ... lol
ReplyDeleteWow, for just you 4, that meal had a huge variety! YUM!
ReplyDeleteWe missed the game (at church all day), but I did see the end and catch up on some of the commercials via other blogs and YouTube... LOL!
