"When Calls the Heart: It Begins With Heart" DVD Review

*Disclosure: I was provided the following DVD in exchange for my honest review.  I was not compensated in any other way.  All opinions are my own.

About "When Calls the Heart: It Begins With Heart":
In the days before the big New Year’s Eve celebration, Hope Valley sees some unpredictable resolutions. For instance, Abigail sets out to catch whoever’s been stealing from her kitchen: and finds herself in charge of two orphans in the process. Elizabeth resolves to take charge of Jack’s dog, Rip, in an attempt to remedy Rip’s apparent jealousy of their relationship. Rosemary is determined to win a San Francisco Herald essay contest about a "real frontier family",… and has to pose as Lee’s wife when a reporter from the paper shows up. And Bill Avery tries his best to convince Jack that he’s not the one who should be behind bars for counterfeiting. Meanwhile, two visitors in town ponder sticking around and causing trouble for both Jack and Pastor Frank!

My Review:
As the first DVD of Season 3, When Calls the Heart: It Begins With Heart starts off right where Season 2 left off.  I appreciated getting answers right away to the questions I had when Season 2 left us hanging.  It was good to see Elizabeth back in Hope Valley, teaching and working with the children again like in Season 1.  While the kids were in in Season 2 a bit, I missed the Elizabeth working through troubles that the kids and their families had.

This season looks like it's going to have the same elements that my family has loved all long in the When Calls the Heart series.  The mystery, drama, romance and all around family friendliness of the series are all things that make us adore the When Calls the Heart episodes so much.

When Calls the Heart: It Begins With Heart was a great kick-off for Season 3 and I can't wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for our viewing pleasure!

Buy It:
