My Review:
The kids and I are not even half-way through the first book at this point, but can already tell that we love the Glimmer Girls series! I'm loving the connection that the family has, the personalities of all the characters, and the general feel of the book as we read it together. I even feel like my daughter and I can relate to one of the girls, Maddie. I'm seeing my son relate to her as well and her love for art.
I didn't think that my 8 year old son would be too interested in listening to the Glimmer Girls books, being that it's about girls, but he is just as interested as my 9 year old daughter. He even asked that I keep reading longer the other night! My daughter has already mentioned wanting to read the rest of the books. I know we haven't even gotten to the most exciting part of London Art Chase yet, so for my kids to be this excited about it already really says something for the entertainment value of this book!
The kids and I all highly recommend the Glimmer Girls series! While I'd mainly recommend Glimmer Girls to preteen girls, parents (and possibly some young brothers) will enjoy these books too!
