Wordless Wednesday: The Drive-In

We try to make it once each summer.  They were showing Turbo and Wolverine...of course the kids had to promise to lay down in the backseat and sleep when Wolverine came on.  It's a tradition of ours to get Dairy Queen first and take outdoor toys to play with while we wait, so we kicked around a soccer ball.  As simple as the night was, it was a very memorable, wonderful night with my family.

We don't have one close to us, you're lucky! My youngest has never been to one. *sigh* :)

I have so many fond memories of the drive in as a child. I remember our mom would tell us, after supper, to go out back & ask dad what he thought about going. Then we'd jump in the bath, get our jammies on & off we'd go!

How FUN!! Dairy Queen makes any activity better! :)
I can't remember the last time we went to a drive in, but I know it's been at least 15 years. I loved it! I dont even know if there is even one here in Phoenix at all, since the one we always went to was when we'd visit church friends in Missouri.
