St. Patrick's Day Fun #1: Potato Stamp Shamrocks

With St. Patrick's Day just a little over a week away, we have been busy with crafting Irish symbols and cooking up traditional Irish foods to get into the spirit. I wanted to share one or two things that we've been up to every day until St. Patrick's Day just in case you'd like to do them with your family too! :-)

The first activity we did was one I came across at Disney's Family Fun magazine website. We used a heart-shaped cookie cutter to make a potato stamp then stamped a white sheet of paper with 3 hearts to form a shamrock! It was super easy, though Morgan needed a little help with the placement of the stamp :-).
Morgan with a goofy pose and a finished shamrock.
Morgan ended up doing several shamrocks on her own and was quite proud of them! :-)

We made 3 shamrocks, one for here, and then one for each set of grandparents to wish them a Happy St. Patrick's Day! :-)

What a fun idea, but paint and the boys not my best plan unless we are outside ... lol

You're such an awesome mom!

You lost me on step one LOL ;)

I'm so not an artsy person - as good as it gets over here is me dumping a pile of paper, paint and brushes on the table and letting the boys go for it (ummm generally outside) LOL

I remember making stamps out of potatoes years ago. Looks like she had fun.
